Welcome to the Hearth

HEARTH

heart, earth, art

Across many northern cultures, the hearth was more that a functional centerpiece. it was the very heart of a household — where stories were told, music was made, food was prepared, and people gathered together for warmth and protection from the cold and darkness of long winters. the hearth held the domestic, communal and spiritual life of those who gathered before it.

Its flames were a living expression of connection…

Light the Flame

Bright the Fire

I welcome you to the HEARTH — a place to gather and tend the inner wisdom fires of the HEART, remembering our connection with our Mother EARTH in all her many expressions.

Here we are invited to embody our ART — the unique expression that ;lives within each of us and unfolds along our individual journeys.

Will you accept the invitation to join in community around the light of the welcoming, nurturing HEARTH?

It began with a desire to come together in community— creating experiences to connect, to explore, and uncover new ways of being…

How I Came to the Hearth…

I have fond memories of growing up in a home with a fireplace. Through the long, dark winters on the outskirts of Sherwood Park, the fire was always the heart of our home during those cold months—offering warmth, comfort, and a place for family to gather. Looking back now, I can see that the fireplace was where moments were shared, like Christmas Eves, family nights, and also many discussion, some disagreements, definitely teenage rebellion, but also understanding.

And so it was… and so it is now.

There was a time when I gathered women in my own home through what became The Sacred Circle of Divinely Groovy Women—an offering for clients and friends to come together and receive whatever it was they needed from the evening. To show up as they were, and go from there.

That’s not to say there was no planning involved. Quite the opposite. I loved the creating, the planning, the tending, the facilitating. Everything I brought forth was of my own creation, and I poured myself fully into it.

But over time, something began to shift.

I became increasingly aware that not everything wrapped in spiritual language is rooted in integrity. I found myself standing too close to a growing “spiritual” phenomenon—one that often blends self-serving egotism, capitalist ideology, and borrowed modalities, charging enormous sums for workshops and courses that, in my opinion, make a mockery of traditions like shamanism, witchcraft, and the deeper ancestral ways they claim to honour.

I realized I didn’t want any part of it.

The Hearth came from an evolution in thought.

I wanted something real. Something honest. Something that might be uncomfortable. Something that makes no promises to heal what ails you, nor provide all the answers, or gloss over the fact that, as a species, we are deeply disconnected—from the Earth, from each other, from spirit, from mystery, and from the unseen relationships that once helped us remember who we are.

This is not about more “shadow work,” more “womb healing,” or more “manifesting with cacao.”

This is about something far less polished… and far more necessary.

This is a journey we walk together—one that asks us to witness the state of this broken world, to act despite being uncomfortable, and to begin forging something real. To move from consumption to connection. From theatrics to presence. From seeking more… to remembering what has always been here.

Yes, it’s true—I do charge. I have bills to pay. I cover my costs and charge the bare minimum for my time.

But The Hearth was never created to build a brand.

It was created to tend a fire.

    Board the Bus

Adulting has never been so much fun…

Now I wish we were all piling into a late 1960’s to 70’s bus but that won’t be the case. However, it is the vibe I want to capture with these “Field Trips for Adults”

My intention is to support local businesses that are on the outskirts of Edmonton while providing day trips that are unique and intriguing experiences for those who sign up.

Currently this is in the planning stages and will hopefully come together September Long 2026. I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag just yet.

I would love to hear from businesses on the “outskirts” who might be interested in this endeavour. Please lets talk.

October 31st, 2026 The Dumb Dinner: Dining with Spirits

“The year has withered to pale grass that none will ever cut. Spirits that slept in the dappling of summer’s sun now begin to wake, walk old paths. A wise witch knows that the song of harvest always contains voices no longer at the feast.” - Emily C. Banting, 1982

Convivial cum spiritus…Samhain heralds the return of this limited seating event. This is a traditional Dumb Dinner meaning silent. The silence is guided, the silence is powerful, in the silence the spirits speak…not just dinner but a powerful ritual. Don’t miss out!!!
